Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, inventory control, and shipping and receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

* Manage inventory using a warehouse management system to ensure accurate stock levels.

* Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting as required.

* Assist with stocking shelves and organising products within the warehouse.

* Perform picking and packing of orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in fulfilment.

* Facilitate shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries.

* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment.

* Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of equipment when necessary.

* Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Skills

* Previous warehouse experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with warehouse operations.

* Proficiency in using a forklift and understanding of safety protocols associated with its operation.

* Experience with materials handling techniques to ensure safe movement of goods.

* Knowledge of warehouse management systems, particularly AS400, is advantageous.

* Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.

* Skills in picking & packing processes to ensure timely order fulfilment.

* Understanding of shipping & receiving procedures to facilitate smooth logistics operations.

* Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
