Formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood Action Fund is a separate non-profit membership organization tax-exempt under section 501(c)(4). The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and limited electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education in furtherance of the Planned Parenthood mission. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (Action Fund) seek a Director of Project Management, Legal Operations and Special Projects.

This job reports to the Managing Director in the Legal Division. The Legal Division provides legal advice and related services in areas including legal compliance, risk management, litigation, and all aspects of business law and operations.

Purpose:

The Director of Project Management establishes and implements systems and processes to enhance business operations and increases efficiency and operational effectiveness of both the Legal Division and the National Office. This includes addressing special projects and challenges as they arise, as well as developing strategy and maintaining operational processes and project management to strengthen organizational priority initiatives. This individual will serve as a strategic thought partner to the Legal leadership team and is expected to be a leader, connector, and partner to staff through the National Office.

The Director of Project Management will work closely with the Managing Director and other Legal Operations team, Legal Division Leadership, and other PPFA colleagues. Delivery:

Developing an approach for the full life cycle of projects (e.g. project initiation, design, execution, and completion), and maintain project management methodologies, standards and tools Supporting leadership in delivering exemplary services and support to the National Office and throughout the Federation.

Supporting the legal operations leadership team in creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources for both the Legal Division and other projects within the National Office Align project development and delivery with National Office policies and client needs/expectations
