Maintenance Operative

Overview

We’re looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our Facilities team. Responsibilities include opening/closing the building, repairing fixtures, and general maintenance on both a proactive and reactive basis. The role requires flexibility with working hours, including Saturday shifts and a day off during the week. Salary: £25,600 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Opening and closing the building on a rota basis
  • Adjusting and repairing fixtures and fittings
  • General painting and upkeep of internal office spaces and communal areas
  • External general maintenance such as pressure washing, grounds and car park upkeep, leaf blowing and hedge trimming
Hours of Work

Contracted for 150 hours per four‑week period on a flexible basis. Work spread over five days per week. Required to work every Saturday, with a day off during the week.

Essential Requirements
  • Practical working experience and knowledge of general maintenance
  • Personable and able to communicate efficiently
  • Current full UK driving licence
  • Ability to execute work without supervision, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and as part of a team in dynamic and high‑pressure situations
Desirable Requirements
  • NVQ qualification or equivalent
  • ISRM qualification (National Spa Pool Plant Operators certificate)
  • PAT testing C&G 2377
  • Practical working experience and knowledge of general maintenance in a hospitality environment
