The role & about the client:
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a well-established main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality new build, refurbishment, and commercial construction projects. This contractor is seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from pre-construction through to handover. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong project delivery experience who is confident managing site teams, subcontractors, budgets, and client relationships.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
Manage the full project lifecycle across new build and refurbishment schemes
Lead site teams, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring high productivity and quality
Oversee health & safety compliance and champion best practice onsite
Chair progress meetings and maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders
Monitor project budgets, variations, and programme performance
Coordinate with commercial, design, and technical teams to resolve issues
Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure work meets specification
Maintain accurate records and reporting throughout the project
Drive efficient project delivery and ensure deadlines are met  The ideal candidate will have/be:
 
Proven experience as a Project Manager within a main contractor environment

Experience of delivering projects valued at £5-20million  
Background in managing new build or refurbishment construction projects
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality results
Knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and H&S requirements
Proactive, solution-focused and confident in taking ownership of projects
Competent IT skills (emails, reporting systems, project management platforms)
NVQ 6 or equivalent
CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid
A full UK driving licence (essential)
