A nurturing specialist school in Newbury is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their supportive team. This full-time role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in mental health, psychology, education, or therapeutic services.
As a Mental Health Assistant, you will support pupils with Autism, ADHD, anxiety, SEMH needs, and emotional regulation difficulties, helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to engage with learning.

Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

ASAPYour Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing emotional and pastoral support on a 1:1 and small group basis
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and coping strategies
Encouraging positive behaviour and resilience
Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and mental health professionals
