About the RoleCDA Group is seeking experienced Excavator Operators (Multi-Plant) to join our growing team across Central Coast and Newcastle projects. As a Multi-Plant Operator, you’ll play a key role in delivering quality civil construction works, operating a variety of heavy machinery and supporting site operations safely, efficiently, and to specification.
This is a full-time position offering long-term stability and genuine career progression within a dynamic and professional construction company across multiple plant items.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain a range of plant and machinery including excavators, loaders, and forklifts
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and ensure all equipment is in safe, compliant working order
- Work around live and existing services safely and in accordance with WHS regulations
- Follow site safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a zero-harm environment
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve project targets efficiently
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve operational and safety performance
- Uphold CDA Group’s commitment to quality and workmanship standards
- Demonstrated experience operating excavators and other plant in civil construction
- Current and relevant licences/tickets for machinery operation (RIIMPO or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of working around live services
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Those lacking a “can-do” attitude or unwilling to assist on the ground when required
- Individuals who waste time or avoid contributing to team productivity
- Operators who neglect the condition or maintenance of plant and equipment
- People distracted by their phones during work hours
