This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to become a Lead Building Regulations Consultant for a respected, design-led consultancy delivering complex, high-profile schemes.

The Opportunity

A growing multi-disciplinary practice is seeking a Lead Building Regulations Consultant to take ownership of building regulations, compliance and safety across a wide range of projects. These include high-rise residential buildings, commercial developments and large-scale schemes throughout Newcastle and the surrounding region.

This is a remote role with occasional travel to meetings or sites within the local area.

  • Working closely with design teams to maintain compliance without compromising design quality

  • Advising on constructability, technical design and regulatory considerations

  • Taking a leading role on high-rise building projects (HRBs)

If you have limited exposure to the Gateway process, the consultancy has a structured training pathway ready to support you.

What You Will Receive
  • A competitive senior-level salary package

  • Remote working with flexibility

  • Leadership responsibility across major, high-value schemes

  • Full guidance and training on the Gateway process where required

  • The chance to shape the compliance strategy of an innovative organisation

About You

  • Strong working knowledge of construction, building regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022

  • Experience working on HRBs or other complex schemes is beneficial

  • An eye for design and the ability to work closely with architects and technical teams

  • Understanding of the Gateway process is desirable but not essential
