We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering consultancy based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team.

This consultancy is well known for their expertise working on heritage projects, so if you have a thing for history - this may be a great opportunity for you, as you will have a big part to play in ensuring the future of some historic buildings and landmarks.  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to take a lead role in delivering innovative structural solutions across a wide variety of high-profile projects, while mentoring junior staff and shaping the future of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
Provide technical leadership, carrying out detailed structural analysis and design.
Oversee and review the work of junior engineers and technicians, offering mentorship and guidance.
Manage client relationships and contribute to business development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and quality procedures.
Requirements:

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng preferred).
Chartered status (MIStruct

E/CEng) or working towards full chartership.
Proven experience delivering structural designs across multiple sectors.
Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design.
Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
Ability to manage projects from concept through to completion.
