Our team is an environmentally focused Information Management group within Earth & Environment, providing project management and information management support across the project delivery cycle. We seek an information controller with a strong understanding of environmental consultancy, a passion for optimising project delivery, and an inclusive approach to team development.

What’s Involved

The Information Manager will oversee information management processes in line with ISO 19650 standards. This includes:

  • Developing and managing the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) to ensure compliance with project requirements and ISO 19650 standards.
  • Establishing and managing Project Information Exchange requirements to ensure seamless information flow between stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and effectively using the Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Working with various departments to establish and enforce information management standards and procedures.
  • Reporting to an Environmental Information Manager and working on environmentally led projects across the UK in both the public and private sectors.
  • Engaging with diverse project types including large-scale infrastructure schemes and associated developments across highways, rail, energy, and other sectors.
  • Supporting business case development, consents and permits (DCO), design, and construction activities.

A Little More About The Role…

  • Implement and manage information management processes in line with ISO 19650 standards.
  • Ensure the CDE is maintained and utilized effectively.
  • Develop and manage the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).
  • Develop and manage the BEP to ensure compliance with project requirements and ISO 19650 standards.
  • Manage Project Information Exchange requirements for seamless stakeholder information flow.
  • Collaboratively manage, agree upon, and communicate project Information Standards and Methods & Procedures documentation with the BIM Manager/Digital Lead.
  • Adopt a security-minded approach to data, ensuring correct access rights are established and maintained for the appropriate duration.
  • Provide training on information management systems.
  • Perform quality control on the project to maintain required standards.
  • Manage the review, exchange, and distribution of project drawings and models, while maintaining a consistent naming standard (ISO 19650).
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
  • Evidence of BIM roles and Project Information Management experience.
  • Confident communication skills, both in person and through digital channels.
  • Proven collaboration and a determination to learn new skills and solve problems.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., environment, project management, engineering, science, building, or quantity surveying) or a combination of relevant project management experience and qualifications.
  • Experience of working within a project or PMO environment.
  • Knowledge or experience of using various Common Data Environments (CDE).
  • Knowledge or experience of ISO 19650 standards and information management frameworks.
