Job Description
CMC have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (HV / EHV)
The role involves managing pre-construction and construction activities—from design through to energisation—for large‑scale high‑voltage infrastructure and grid‑connection projects, typically between 33 kV and 400 kV.
May include feasibility studies, detailed design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning for new or existing substations and related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop HV projects (up to and including 20 kV) from initial functional requirements into compliant, cost‑effective engineering solutions.
- Manage the development and delivery of small to medium HV projects (cable, plant and civil) to meet time, cost, safety and quality targets.
- Work closely with clients and internal/external stakeholders to progress and deliver HV projects.
- Act as CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for assigned HV projects.
- Communicate effectively with internal engineering and project delivery teams.
- Coordinate external service providers and support commercial administration.
- Experience working on HV substation projects.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution plant, operations and control systems.
