Role Overview PROPERTY SHIELD SOLUTIONS are looking for a qualified Fire Risk Assessor (Level
3) to join our compliance team and carry out comprehensive fire risk assessments across our property portfolio nationwide. This role is critical in ensuring our buildings meet all fire safety standards and statutory obligations, while providing clear, actionable recommendations for remedial works. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of fire safety legislation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality reports.
You will work closely with our Senior Fire Engineer, contractors, and internal teams to maintain compliance and deliver safe environments for residents and staff. This is a travel-based role requiring regular site visits across the UK.
Key Responsibilities Fire Risk Assessment & Compliance Conduct detailed fire risk assessments in line with current legislation and industry best practice. Identify hazards, evaluate risks, and provide clear recommendations for corrective actions. Ensure all assessments are documented accurately and submitted within agreed time frames. Reporting & Documentation Produce comprehensive reports that are clear, actionable, and compliant with regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of assessments and remedial actions within CAFM and compliance systems.
Collaboration & Support Work closely with the Senior Fire Engineer and compliance team to prioritise and implement remedial works. Liaise with contractors and site teams to ensure recommendations are understood and acted upon. Provide technical advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on fire safety matters. Travel & Site Work Regular travel across the UK to conduct on-site assessments and audits.
Flexibility to work across multiple regions and adapt to changing priorities. Essential Skills & Experience Level 3 Fire Risk Assessor qualification (or equivalent). Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, building regulations, and risk assessment methodologies. Proven experience conducting fire risk assessments in residential, PBSA, or commercial environments. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a national travel schedule.
Proficiency in compliance reporting systems and digital tools. Desirable Membership of a relevant professional body (IFE, IFSM, etc.). NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent. Experience in facilities management or property compliance roles.
