We are looking for a Fraud & Financial Crime Investigator to join our client’s Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, innovative banking environment, protecting customers and safeguarding the business.
Role DescriptionAs a Fraud & Financial Crime Investigator, you will investigate referrals across a range of banking products, including mortgages, savings, and business lending. You will conduct thorough PEP and Sanctions checks for new and existing customers, submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the relevant authorities, and make objective decisions with clear, well‑documented rationale. You will work closely with other operational teams to manage multiple cases efficiently, while proactively sharing knowledge, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting process enhancements to drive operational efficiency.
Skills& Experience Required
- Previous experience in fraud or financial crime within banking or financial services
- Excellent attention to detail and decision‑making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Competitive salary (up to £27,000 depending on experience)
