Assistant Management Accountant

At ramarketing, we partner with ambitious life science organisations around the world. Helping them grow through integrated marketing, content, design and PR. As our business continues to scale, we’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to support our established finance team as they take an active role in helping the agency make informed, confident decisions.

This is a hands‑on role with real visibility across the business — ideal for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and being close to both the numbers and the people behind them.

In this role, you’ll support the smooth running and continual improvement of our financial operations, working closely with the Financial Controller and Management Accountant. You’ll be involved in everything from management accounting and process improvement to partnering with commercial colleagues, helping ensure our reporting is accurate, insightful, and genuinely useful to the wider business.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Monitoring project and retainer performance, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and internal reporting
• Preparing inter‑company recharges, supporting VAT returns, audits, and third‑party media spend tracking
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, including variance analysis and MI
• Improving systems, automation and data integrity, helping the business work smarter and more efficiently

We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, curious, and keen to develop — but just as importantly, someone who enjoys working with others and contributing to a positive team environment.

You’ll likely:

• Have achieved or are studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
• Have strong finance experience, ideally within a fast‑paced SME or agency environment
• Be confident working with financial systems, data and reporting tools such as Excel and CRM systems.
• Take pride in accuracy and enjoy working with complex information
• Be comfortable explaining financial concepts to non‑finance colleagues
• Be proactive, adaptable, and always looking for ways to improve how things are done
