We are looking for a Clinical Assessment Service Administration Assistant.
This is a permanent role, 37.5 hours per week, including bank holidays, weekends and nights.
Duties include booking patient appointments and ensuring the smooth running of the clinical assessment administration service.
Based at our Bernicia House site- NEAS HQ.
Main duties of the jobAdministration Assistant – Clinical Assessment Service
To assist in the smooth running of the Clinical Assessment Service within the Operations Directorate by providing administrative support to the Clinical Assessment Service. The Clinical Assessment Service supports patients who call 111 and require clinical assessment. This post helps to deliver our vision of unmatched quality of care every time we touch lives.

Person Specification Education, Qualifications & Training- Maths GCSE (Grade C and above)/O Level or equivalent
- English GCSE (Grade C and above)/O Level or equivalent
- European Computer Driving License (ECDL) CLAIT
- Prioritising own workload and the ability to work alone. Ability to engage with customers/public, self‑motivated.
- Excellent communication and team building skills at all levels within the organisation. Good negotiation skills. Good standard of numeracy/literacy. Strong organisational/prioritisation qualities including the management of electronic and paper based filing systems and complex data storage/access systems.
- Ability to work using own initiative and manage own workloads. Computer literate with a good understanding of spreadsheets and Microsoft Office. Experience of managing electronic diaries. General office procedures.
- Previous recent clerical experience including experience of taking and transcribing formal minutes.
