About the Role

The Cloud Operations (Cloud Ops) Team is responsible for ensuring Sage’s online product portfolio remains available, secure, and performant for customers worldwide. As a Senior Cloud Ops Hosting Consultant, you will bridge the gap between Partner Development and Operations by deploying patches, administering infrastructure, and improving automation using cloud technologies.

Comprehensive training and full certification on the X3 application will be provided, as this position requires an in-depth understanding of the X3 platform and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to both partners and customers.

You will collaborate closely with Global Centre of Excellence teams to deploy, monitor, and continuously optimise the Global X3 Cloud Service, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance across multiple regions.

While this is not a 24/7 operational role, there will be an expectation for flexible on‑call coverage to resolve service incidents and collaborate across global time zones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take accountability for Global X3 Cloud hosted infrastructure, ensuring multi‑environment sites remain available, secure, and performant.
  • Lead during high‑pressure incident scenarios, balancing technical resolution with partner/customer communication.
  • Provision X3 Cloud client environments into relevant regional hosted environments.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance infrastructure and automation to support secure and scalable environments.
  • Monitor tickets, applications, and systems, proactively identifying and mitigating issues.
  • Communicate planned changes, incidents, and service improvement plans to stakeholders.
  • Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting across multiple domain areas.
  • Enable continuous deployment cycles and on‑demand deployment processes.
  • Perform and plan customer application upgrades and patching per contractual requirements.
  • Document changes and updates in internal records/wiki and share with X3 teams.
  • Assist with budget management, identifying cost savings and monitoring spend levels.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong communication skills for external partner engagement.
  • Deep understanding of ERP software and experience supporting external partners.
  • Proven troubleshooting and technical skills.
  • Prior experience supporting ERP from a partner perspective (e.g., candidates from Accenture are ideal).
Why Join Us?
  • Opportunity to work on a global cloud solution impacting thousands of customers.
  • Collaborative environment with training and continuous learning provided.
  • Be part of a team driving innovation and automation in cloud hosting.
