Vulnerability Management Engineer

Parkdean Resorts

This role is a key part of Parkdean’s Information & Cyber Security structure, residing within the Vulnerability Management team. It involves managing daily security tools, reducing risks, testing, migration planning, and contributing to security projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage security tools day‑to‑day and investigate alerts
  • Act as first point of contact for technical security tickets
  • Conduct configuration and rule reviews of security tools and products
  • Coordinate with external and internal testing partners to manage findings and track rectification
  • Identify emerging cyber threats and support business to reduce impacts
  • Perform internal security assessments (infrastructure, perimeter, cloud, build images)
  • Lead technical risk reduction projects
  • Support or lead on information and cyber security investigations and incidents
  • Serve as a technical security advisor for the security department
  • Conduct external open‑source threat intelligence research
  • Drive maturity into vulnerability management practices and processes

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Cyber Security vulnerability management or a technical IT function such as infrastructure or 3rd‑line support, with a personal interest in cyber security
  • Knowledge of ethical hacking, MITRE ATT&CK and threat‑hunting/intelligence techniques
  • Experience using a range of security products (EDR/XDR, firewalls/WAFs, NMS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners)
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Cyber Security
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset and analytical approach
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
