Technical Lead, IT​/Tech, Systems Engineer

Technical Lead Newcastle upon Tyne A high-growth, Newcastle-based technology organisation created through a joint venture between global consulting and investment leaders is looking to hire a Technical Lead. Youll work closely with developers, stakeholders and end users to design and deliver high-quality software solutions at pace, while helping to shape culture, standards and ways of working from an early stage.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and support Remain hands-on with development and take ownership of end-to-end delivery Engage directly with users and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver pragmatic solutions Collaborate closely with client teams to deliver shared outcomes Challenge existing systems and processes through innovation and technical excellence Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends What theyre looking for:
Strong programming experience in C#/.NET, Java, Rust or Python Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset A problem-solver with energy, ambition and an ownership mentality Experience delivering software projects from start to finish Interest in understanding business problems and building domain knowledge Financial Services experience is beneficial but not essential A minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science or a related discipline Why consider this opportunity:
