Transition Analyst (ITIL)

Contract Type: 6 months (Contract)

Location: Hybrid – 1–2 days per month in either Newcastle or Glasgow (whichever is closest)

Overview: This role is a separation and transformation within the business. You will work with a third‑party provider to ensure that new services are successfully transitioned to live support while maintaining compliance and standards according to an ITIL‑based governance methodology. The position is documentation‑heavy and oriented toward a pure analyst profile rather than management.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate the transition of services to the offshore third‑party provider.
• Ensure adherence to compliance and industry standards throughout the transition.
• Maintain and update transition documentation and knowledge assets.
• Provide status reporting and updates to stakeholders.
• Identify risks and issues, applying RAID logs and RACI matrices as required.

Key Skills / Knowledge:

• ITIL Foundation certification.
• General understanding of Service Transition.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• Proactive thinking: recognise current workload and prepare for future demands to meet programme deadlines.
• Knowledge of RAID logs and RACI.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to challenge professionally for optimal outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience engaging vendors in a service‑transition context.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the financial services sector.
