Conversion Support Technician - Newcastle - £30,000

A growing company in the dental practice management software industry are on the lookout for a motivated, Conversion Support Technician to join their team in Newcastle.

You do not need coding experience for this role - what matters most is a willingness to learn technical processes, a logical approach to problem solving and a strong eye for detail.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Conversions Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our ETL Developer to support the full lifecycle of data conversions for both new and existing customers.

No coding background is required. Instead, we're looking for someone who is eager to learn technical workflows, approaches tasks logically, and pays close attention to detail. Comprehensive training will be provided to support your development in the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the ETL Developer to ensure accurate and reliable customer data conversions
  • Execute test conversions ahead of scheduled live migrations
  • Conduct pre-conversion checks on customer infrastructure
  • Review and validate data following test conversions to confirm accuracy and completeness
  • Apply customer-specific configurations after system installation
  • Take part in live conversion activities, including shared responsibility for out-of-hours work
  • Maintain conversion documentation and contribute to process improvements
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to support smooth project delivery
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confidence working with data and technical processes (full training provided)
  • Logical mindset with effective problem-solving abilities
  • Well-organised and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support live conversions
  • No programming or software development experience required
  • Previous experience in a technical, data-focused, or administrative role is beneficial but not essential
