IPS Adhesives is a global supplier of adhesive and related solutions to a wide variety of markets. The role covers operations for three brands:
Scigrip for Structural Adhesives, Integra for Surfacing Adhesives, and Unika covering kitchen products. The business focuses on solving problems and delivering value through great people, class‑leading adhesive technologies, and innovative, flexible packaging and service offerings.
The Production Operator works under the supervision of a team leader or manager, carrying out tasks as required in compliance with IPS Adhesives EHS and Quality Standards. The role is key to maintaining metrics such as right first time, on time in full, and minimizing customer complaints.
Responsibilities- Assess tasks for risks and implement control measures.
- Stage materials prior to batch production.
- Check Raw Material approval and shelf life status before use.
- Accurately weigh Raw Materials and Mixtures.
- Follow standard process instructions to minimize batch variance.
- Accurately complete all relevant paperwork.
- Feed batches of raw materials into production machinery.
- Operate production line equipment, e.g., a high‑speed disperser, filling lines, etc.
- Set up, operate, and clean up filling machines.
- Check cartridges for proper fill level and piston depth.
- Monitor the production process and carry out basic batch testing using standard QC test methods.
- Finish products, e.g., apply labels and pack goods ready for dispatch.
- Store goods and raw materials in the yard or warehouse.
- Use lifting equipment and forklift trucks.
- Clean and maintain work areas, machinery, and equipment.
- Report any problems during the shift to supervisors, including any maintenance issues.
- Ability to work quickly and methodically.
- Good team‑working skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Awareness of environment, health and safety issues.
- Willingness to work flexibly.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including effective communication with internal customers.
- Good computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out batch processing to completion within prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
- Ability to work under pressure.
