Mechanical Fitter – 37 hours per week, 2‑shift pattern, £22.16 per hour (PAYE), long‑term contract. Kinetic Recruitment are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters for long‑term contracts with a well‑established engineering company in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

• Perform mechanical fitting and assembly activities using hand and machine tools working to fine tolerances.
• Check finished work in accordance with required standards using relevant measuring equipment.
• Maintain tooling, components, machine and working environment in a clean and orderly state.
• Carry out first line maintenance in line with training.
• Maintain documentation in line with requirements.

• Time served in a recognised engineering discipline (Mechanical).
• Experience using mechanical measuring and inspection equipment (micrometers etc).
• Previous Mechanical Fitting experience is essential.

2‑shift pattern

• Week 1:
  Monday – Friday 7.09 am – 2.36 pm
• Week 2:
  Monday – Thursday 2.30 pm – 10.00 pm / Friday 2.10 pm – 8.55 pm
