IKEA Gateshead are looking to welcome a Sales & Sustainability Assistant. Are you passionate about sustainability and giving products a second life? We’re looking for someone with a customer‑first mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. In this role you will repurpose and present IKEA products with pride, set attractive prices, and collaborate across functions to ensure product quality and safety.

You’ll play a key part in improving customer perception by supporting guidelines for returned, recalled, and ex‑display items—while staying organised, detail‑oriented, and motivated to make a difference.

• The start date of employment will be the 1st of February.
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
• 8 hours weekend only – Saturday and Sunday between 09:00am and 10:00pm.

• Repurpose, present and sell IKEA products with pride, setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers and generate the best results for the business.
• Work closely with the different functions in the unit to ensure that common working routines and processes are followed in relation to product quality, safety and recovery.
• Support and action the product quality guidelines for recalled, returned and ex‑display stock to constantly improve customers’ perception of our IKEA products.
