Role: Principal Developer

Salary: £68,000 - £72,000 per annum

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (One day a week on site requirements)

VIQU have partnered with a leading national organisation who are looking to migrate from their legacy systems, to modern, cloud first systems in Azure. They are looking to hire a lead/principal developer focused on C# and .NET development and architecture. This will initially focus on Modular Monolith design, moving to Microservices architecture as/when required.

• Lead the design and migration from legacy systems (ASP and PHP) to modern, cloud first systems and applications.
• Design and implement software solutions using .NET and C#.
• Help to mentor junior engineers.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout the team.

• Hands on experience with .Net with C# development within an enterprise environment.
• Prior experience with Modular monolith architecture, with Microservices design being a nice to have.
• Experience with SQL server, and Restful API's.
• Experience with cloud first architecture within Azure (Cosmos DB, App Services, Service Bus, Storage ect.).
• Previously led and mentored junior developers, conducting code reviews, guiding best practises and facilitating continuous improvement.
• Previously set up and implemented CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Technical skills across Docker, Containerisation, React, and Dev Ops would all be nice to have attributes.
