Software Engineer (Java) – Guildford / Newcastle upon Tyne – Hybrid

12 months | £44 per hour (Inside IR35)

A highly skilled Java Software Engineer is required for a leading global aerospace organisation renowned for shaping the future of commercial and military aviation. The company drives innovation, engineering excellence, and sustainable technologies across its international operations.

As a Software Engineer, you'll work as part of an Agile Scrum team developing innovative geospatial software solutions using Java and cloud technologies. You'll contribute throughout the development lifecycle—from designing and coding to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Java – Core development language. Strong experience with modern frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot or Quarkus) is valuable.
• Cloud Services Development – Hands‑on experience developing on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (most likely containerised apps).
• Unit Testing – Practical use of frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, or similar.
• Understands secure coding and automated testing.
• Eligible for SC clearance (UK residency & background check compliant).
