Tooling Cost Estimator

The candidate for this position will be responsible for all cost-estimating operations for new programs and launches at the plant level.

• Lead development of manufacturing and tool cost estimates
• Identify cost opportunities and solutions to meet the required financial targets
• Provide cost direction to the design and development team
• Prepare cost estimates based on engineering sketches
• Work closely with the Manufacturing Division to develop the most effective manufacturing process for both manufacturing and assembly
• Work alongside Engineers and Program Managers

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering and/or tool and die apprenticeship
• Familiarity with process controls, costing, and method planning
• Automotive industry experience required
• Good working knowledge of all phases of product manufacturing and assembly
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Good computer proficiency
