HMP Highpoint

Shift pattern:
Full time, 37 hours Monday to Friday
Pay rate: £15.10 Per Hour, with overtime rate available

We are currently recruiting for a Lead Escort to join the team at HMP Highpoint, supporting the delivery of key prison expansion and capital maintenance projects. This is a non-operational role with no line management responsibilities, but it requires a high degree of accountability, responsibility, and knowledge of site protocols and logistics.

Key responsibilities

Manage and maintain incoming FF&E deliveries in the prison stores
Distribute equipment to relevant areas on site using the forklift truck
Provide additional escort support during downtime from stores duties
Support delivery of major prison projects and ensure all activity complies with MoJ procedures and HMP rules
Monitor contractor behaviour and report any non-compliance with procedures or safety regulations
Organise and record site access passes, key and radio training, and maintain training records

What you need

Valid Forklift Truck Licence (essential)
Experience working in stores or logistics-based roles
Ability to manage deliveries and distribution of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) Good communication skills (written & verbal) with basic English & maths knowledge.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
A methodical, organised approach with strong attention to detail.
Teamwork skills with the ability to use initiative when needed.
Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing circumstances.

Important: A full and comprehensive DBS will be conducted for this role, and photo  be required.
