Groundworks Supervisor

Overview

Synergy Personnel Ltd is recruiting for a Groundworks Supervisor for a major infrastructure project on the Isle of Wight (Hampshire). Project value £2m, 2‑week contract to start with potential for a long‑term contract.

• Supervise daily site operations relating to groundworks, stormwater and foul water drainage.
• Manage labour of 6 to 8, subcontractors and materials on site.
• Ensure works are completed to specification, on time and within budget.
• Maintain the highest health & safety standards and site discipline.
• Liaise with the project manager, engineers and client representatives.
• Carry out site paperwork, permits, toolbox talks and reporting as required.

• Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor on civil engineering or utilities projects.
• Strong knowledge of drainage and associated infrastructure works.
• Minimum certifications required: SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme), First Aid, CSCS card.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to read drawings and manage teams effectively.
