Lead and manage a team of Business Development Managers to drive growth within the Food service sector in Northern Ireland. Take full accountability for achieving sales targets, managing margins, controlling debt, and delivering profitable results. Provide strategic direction, coaching, and development to ensure the team maximises opportunities within key customer segments and consistently delivers exceptional performance.

What you’ll be Doing
  • Support the team to exceed agreed territory sales and margin targets for the NI Food service business.
  • Support the team in developing their territory, by securing new food service customers and develop existing food service business through supply and range extension to maximise cost efficiencies and profitability.
  • Support the team in maintaining all accounts within company credit terms.
  • Coach and develop sales team to drive profitable sales in key customer groupings.
  • Maintain territory management costs within allocated budgets, through good time management, resources management, and to ensure BDMs are using the most effective call pattern for each customer.
  • Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
  • Gather accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade field information.
  • Lead and liaise with all internal departments and stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflict through motivation and negotiation.
  • Deliver and execute the annual food service commercial plan.
  • Project management responsibilities including the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.
What we’re looking for
  • 3+ years’ food service experience in a sales or commercial role with a track record of delivering excellent results.
  • Experience of successfully developing and delivering business initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills, provides clarity, works as part of team, effectively engage stakeholders, and deliver exceptional results.
  • Strategic thinker who can consider the longer-term options and devise end to end solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and influence effectively at all levels across the business and to get things done
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • A sense of urgency, proactive with a strong work ethic
  • Experience of leading, managing and coaching Team
