This company can ensure long term job security and progression opportunities for the right candidate, market leading benefits and salary" About the Job Reporting to the Company Accountant the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties Key responsibilities Managing all transactions within the finance department Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly procedures are carried out effectively and efficiently Maintenance of both sales and purchase ledger Assist with payroll processing Responsible for collation, posting and reconciliation of month end stocks Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and follow up issues VAT submissions, Intrastat, TSS compliance and other government returns Assist with cashflow management Assist with the maintaining of the cost system on Sage Monitor financial controls and implement changes where necessary Work with external auditors at year end Support Finance Manager, General Manager and wider management team in relation to accounts and reports they may need Support accounts team and assist with ad hoc duties as required Previous experience Previous experience working in a busy office environment Hold an Accounts Technician Qualification or Trainee/ Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA) For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career get in touch with Daryl Hunter at HireIQ in complete confidence
