About the HomeArdmaine Care Home is warm and loving, located near the centre of the city of Newry. It has two units – General Nursing and Dementia Nursing. The home provides care for older people as well as those with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Cancer, End of Life Care, Respite, Stroke, Epilepsy, Visual Impairment and Challenging Behaviours.
The RoleThe role of a Registered Nurse in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. The Registered Nurse is a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high‑quality, person‑centred care. The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents.
The role supports shift management, ensuring the safety of all residents and staff. The position is always evolving and a commitment to personal and professional development enables a positive difference in the lives of our residents and their families.
- Deliver person‑centred care to each resident.
- Assess and monitor the physical health of residents within care plans.
- Offer support and supervise all care staff or new recruits.
- Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care.
- Comply with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.
- Valid UK NMC pin.
- Minimum of 6 months nursing experience.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to work independently and supervise a team.
- Good standard of written and oral English.
- Experience gained in a care home setting.
