Location: Rockfield Care Home, Windmill Road – Burnview Healthcare

Burnview Healthcare is a family‑run group of care homes specialising in dementia, nursing, residential and day care. We aim to create a caring and secure environment for residents.

We are recruiting a part‑time Domestic Assistant to provide and maintain a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors, adhering to infection control and health & safety standards. This role is 20 hours per week, starting 8am; candidates must be flexible in the days they are available to work.

• Clean resident bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, corridors and offices to a high standard.
• Undertake daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules as directed.
• Dispose of waste in line with care‑home policy and infection‑control guidelines.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
• Adhere to health and safety policies, including COSHH regulations; report faults and hazards.
• Follow infection prevention protocols including hand hygiene, PPE usage and deep cleaning.
• Assist with enhanced cleaning during outbreaks (e.g., flu, norovirus, COVID‑19).
• Show respect and courtesy to residents; maintain privacy and dignity.
• Report concerns about residents’ wellbeing to senior staff.
• Attend mandatory training and staff meetings.

• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Experience in cleaning or domestic work.
• Understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards.
• Success in an Enhanced Access NI Check.
• Application may be reviewed under Burnview’s policy on ex‑offenders; having a criminal record will not automatically disqualify a candidate.

• Knowledge of COSHH.
• Experience in a care home or healthcare setting.
• Basic hygiene or cleaning certificate.

Contract type: Part‑time.

Salary: Based on experience.
