We are seeking a highly organised IT Operations Officer to support the day-to-day IT function across the Rathbane Group. This role provides operational and administrative IT support across multiple business units, working closely with the Group IT Manager and Managed Service Provider (MSP). The position involves travel to group sites, as well as occasional travel to the UK and Poland for operational projects.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys hands-on IT tasks, coordination, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, delivering the best of IT service to our teams.
Key Responsibilities IT Stock and Inventory Management- Manage IT stock levels across all group locations.
- Tag IT equipment physically and ensure records are updated in the IT Asset Management platform.
- Work with internal departments to ensure IT assets are properly tracked and reported.
- Assist with IT disposals and the movement of hardware across sites.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, procurement, and logistics with 3rd party vendors.
- Work with key suppliers to ensure operational needs are met efficiently.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding staff, device preparation, system updates, and troubleshooting.
- Support mobile, telecom, and handheld devices, including provisioning and temporary loans.
- Carry out technical tasks as needed, including device configuration, on-site troubleshooting, and equipment replacement.
- Provide Barco AV support for meeting rooms and event setups.
- Support the MSP with routine operational tasks and service requests.
- Deliver training and guidance to end-users on IT systems, devices, and AV solutions.
- Assist in small operational IT projects, including temporary site setups.
- Participate in project planning sessions and workshops where needed.
- Support deployment of technologies such as 5G and Starlink for temporary site setups.
- Develop and maintain processes, workflows, and documentation to ensure operational consistency and high standards.
- Contribute to IT audit checks and ensure records are up to date.
- Support maintenance of the IT Risk Register and adherence to IT policies.
- Assist with internal audits, asset compliance, and operational processes as needed.
- Degree or third-level qualification in IT (or a degree with at least 50% IT-related content) with minimum 2 years’ experience in IT support, infrastructure, or a similar role. Alternatively, candidates with 5+ years’ experience in IT support or infrastructure may be considered
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with IT systems, networks, mobile/telecom solutions, governance, compliance, and cyber security.
- Basic hands‑on IT skills for hardware setup, troubleshooting, and light‑touch technical tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising effectively with vendors, suppliers, internal teams, and external partners.
- Full, clean driving licence with flexibility to travel across group locations.
This is a hands‑on and varied IT role within a highly capable team, where every member plays a key role. The pace is fast but rewarding, offering exposure to Dell and Microsoft environments, Apple Business Manager, Samsung Knox, Microsoft Azure, Intune, and emerging connectivity solutions such as 5G and Starlink. You will provide operational IT support, contribute to IT projects, and help ensure the smooth running of day‑to‑day operations across the group while collaborating closely with internal teams and the MSP.
