Maintenance Person, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic, Building Maintenance

Maintenance Person required for: 15 hours per week

Our Mother of Mercy Nursing Home, Newry Join our team as a Maintenance Person where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities  - Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance  - Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime  - Supervise fire drills for staff and coordinate schedules  - Uphold safety protocols and regulations in all maintenance activities-Some light painting and decorating, basic plumbing and gardening skills required.

-Must have full UK driving licence.

Experience  - Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and vendors  - Strong customer service skills to interact with external contractors  - Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair various equipment types  - Familiarity with electrical systems and components  - Prior experience in maintenance is a plus
