We are looking for an MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our HMP Channings Wood project in Devon.

Location:

Newton Abbot, Devon

Contract:

Full Time, Permanent

What will you be responsible for?

Working on a major construction project at HMP Channings Wood, you will be tasked with:

  • Ensuring compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
  • Managing valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, including monthly cost reports and progress records.
  • Providing legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration.
  • Driving commercial initiatives, producing margin improvement plans and supporting team members in maximizing opportunities.
  • Leading and managing junior staff, ensuring workload targets, deadlines, and commercial tasks are met and updated monthly.
What are we looking for?

In a Senior Quantity Surveyor, we're ideally looking for:

  • Prior experience working in construction in a commercial role for a contractor or consultancy, ideally with MEP exposure.
  • Experience with a variety of contract forms, such as JCT and NEC.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
