Design Engineer / Tekla Design Engineer / CAD Engineer / Product Development Engineer

Design Engineer required to join a fabrication company based in Newton Abbott, Devon.

We have an exciting opportunity for Design Engineers to join an established company within the construction industry. Due to company growth this multi‑site business is looking for a Design Engineer to join their growing design team based in Newton Abbott, Devon.

• £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience.
• Fully onsite role based in Newton Abbott, Devon.
• Free onsite parking.
• Pension contribution.
• 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).

• Produce 3D models and drawings using Tekla.
• Liaise with different members of the business including engineers, fabricators and project managers.
• Ensure that the designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards as well as meeting client requirements.
• Assist with delivering projects in a timely manner adhering to a high standard.

• Previous experience as a Design Engineer, Tekla Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, Product Development Engineer or other design‑based roles.
• Experience with design software including Tekla, Solid Works or AutoCAD (Tekla preferred but not essential).
• A background in bulk material handling or quarry plant design – not essential but preferred.
• Must be commutable to Newton Abbott, Devon.

Mechanical Design, SOC, System Design, GD&T, CAD, Creo, Solid Works, Mechanical Engineering, Perl, AutoCAD, HVAC Design, Catia.
