Class 2 HGV Drivers - Quarry

Class 2 HGV Drivers Needed:
Permanent Roles in Newton Abbot

Driver Hire and dh Recruitment (Torbay) is recruiting two Class 2 HGV drivers for permanent positions with a well-established Newton Abbot-based company. Experience working in a quarry or similar environment is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

This is a night shift position with a stable two-week shift pattern and consistent weekly hours.

• £18.49 per hour PAYE Advanced
• Night shifts: 6pm to 6am
• Average of 42 hours per two-week period
• Week 1:
  Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2:
  Wednesday, Thursday
• Weekly pay every Friday

This is a permanent Class 2 driving position working within a 24-hour operation. Duties include safe vehicle operation, following on‑site procedures and working as part of a professional team. Although experience in quarry work is an advantage, it is not required.

• A full HGV Category C (Class
  2) licence
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
• Digital Tachograph Card
• A reliable approach to night work and weekend shifts
• Ability to work safely in a busy operational environment
