Safety Specialist

Job Description

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Construction Safety Specialist with 1-3 years of experience in construction safety. The ideal candidate will have exposure to heavy construction projects, including highways, water and wastewater treatment plants, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
- Develop, write, and modify safety procedures, policies, and protocols.
- Conduct routine job site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Provide safety recommendations and guidance during owner meetings.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and discussions.
- Assist with insurance reviews and safety-related evaluations.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of safety standards across active construction projects.

Requirements:
- 1-3 years in construction safety management.
- Proficiency in knowing and understanding OSHA regulations.
- Ability to skillfully write and suggest modifications to PKF safety procedures.
- Perform field safety inspections on a number of PA/NJ projects.
- Assist in safety solutions on-site. Local projects (within 100 miles from Newtown, PA).
- Ability to use Word/Excel.
