Mossley Mill but the post holder will be required to work across Antrim & Newtownabbey MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB Policing and Community Safety Partnerships (PCSPs) are statutory local bodies with defined responsibilities in relation to policing, crime reduction, and community safety. They were established under the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 and operate in each council area. The role of the PCSP Co-ordinator is to ensure the effective delivery of the Antrim and Newtownabbey PCSP Strategy and Action Plan, providing strategic leadership, operational management, and programme oversight.

The postholder will lead the PCSP team, ensuring objectives and key performance indicators are achieved, and manage significant budgets. The Co-ordinator will also act as the main point of contact for statutory agencies, funders, and community stakeholders, ensuring compliance, accountability, and robust governance. This role requires professional engagement with PCSP Members, elected representatives, and the wider public, promoting confidence in policing and community safety initiatives.

The recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 7 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. (A copy of the Competency framework is attached for information) Provisional date for the interview will be week commencing 16 February 2026. This process will include an un-seen presentation.

A reserve list will be created for this post for a 12 month period and if this post becomes available either part time, full time, temporary or permanent within 12 months this will be offered to reserve candidates in order of merit.
