Position: US Accounting – Accountant/ Senior Accountant
Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
Update and maintain the books of accounts and ledgers
Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
Ensure correctness and accuracy of accounts at all times
Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
Knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
Monitor any variances from the projected budget, accounting systems and processes.

Required Qualification &

Experience:

A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or commerce
Any additional Post Graduate Certificate or Degree will get added preference.
At least 6 months of US bookkeeping experience would be an added advantage.

Competencies:

Should have knowledge of US accounting

Working experience of Quickbooks and other software applications for accounting for US entities
Accounting knowledge
Understanding accounting best practices
Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, or another accounting framework
High attention to overall accounting systems & processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Produce work with a high level of accuracy
Periodical reconciliation, confirmation and cross verification of vender accounts
Should have a good understanding of financial statistics and US accounting principles
Experience in software like Sage and Microsoft Dynamic will be an advantage.
