LUMIQ is seeking an AWS Fin Ops Analyst to lead cloud financial management and cost optimization initiatives across LUMIQ's internal AWS environments and client AWS accounts . The role is critical in enabling cost transparency, governance, and value realization while ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS billing, pricing, and cost optimization services , and will work closely with engineering, Dev Ops, platform, and client teams to embed Fin Ops best practices into AWS architectures and delivery models .
Responsibilities:
AWS Cost Management & Optimization
- Own end-to-end AWS cost monitoring and optimization for LUMIQ and client AWS accounts .
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives using:
EC2 rightsizing and Graviton adoption
Savings Plans and Reserved Instances optimization
Spot Instances for fault-tolerant workloads
S3 storage class optimization and lifecycle policies
RDS, Redshift, and Dynamo
DB cost tuning
Optimize costs across data, analytics, and AI/ML workloads running on AWS.
AWS Fin Ops Governance & Reporting
- Define and enforce AWS tagging strategies , cost allocation models, and account structures.
Build and manage chargeback / showback models for internal teams and clients.
Prepare monthly AWS cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis for leadership and client stakeholders.
Set up and manage AWS Budgets, Cost Anomaly Detection, and alerts .
Stakeholder & Client Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, Dev Ops, and platform teams to influence cost-efficient AWS architecture decisions.
Support client-facing discussions by providing AWS cost insights, optimization roadmaps, and ROI-driven recommendations.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients on AWS pricing models and Fin Ops best practices .

- Leverage AWS-native tools:
AWS Cost Explorer
AWS Budgets
AWS Cost & Usage Reports (CUR)
AWS Compute Optimizer
Contribute to automation of cost controls using AWS Lambda, Cloud Watch, and IaC (Terraform/Cloud Formation) .
Help build reusable AWS Fin Ops playbooks, dashboards, and optimization frameworks for LUMIQ offerings.
Continuous Improvement & Enablement
- Stay current with AWS pricing changes, new services, and optimization features .
Enable teams through best practices, documentation, and training on cost-efficient AWS usage.
Support LUMIQ's AWS Competency, Well-Architected, and Fin Ops practice maturity initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
2–5 years of hands-on experience in AWS Fin Ops / AWS Cost Optimization / Cloud Financial Management
Strong expertise in AWS pricing and billing models
Practical experience with:
EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, Redshift
Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances
Experience creating executive-level AWS cost dashboards and reports
Strong analytical, financial, and communication skills
Having AWS Cloud / FinOPs Practitioner certificate and Exposure to data engineering, analytics, or AI/ML workloads on AWS will be an added advantage
