The Mission
At Site Recon, we don’t build simple apps — we build the engine that powers a real-world, high-stakes industry. Our product handles complex spatial data, maps, and dense estimation workflows, and turns them into tools customers can use confidently with little to no training.
We’re looking for a UX Designer who enjoys simplifying complexity, thinks in systems, and cares deeply about creating fast, intuitive experiences for power users.

The Reality of the Role
You’ll join a fast-moving product team where “good enough” isn’t the bar. You’ll own features from early ambiguity (“what if?”) through high-fidelity design and release validation. This role is best suited for someone with  3–5 years of experience  designing  B2B SaaS or data-heavy products .

What You’ll Do
Simplify the Complex:
Translate large volumes of property, map, and measurement data into intuitive, zero-training-required workflows.
Own the Design Lifecycle:
Drive UX from problem discovery and concepting through high-fidelity prototypes, feedback, and final handoff.
Think in Systems:
Use and help scale our Figma design system, ensuring consistency, reusability, and speed.
Collaborate Closely:
Work daily with Product Managers and Engineers to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
Ground Design in Research:
Conduct user interviews, customer research, and market analysis to inform design decisions and personas.
Validate with Real Users:
Present prototypes to customers, gather feedback, run UATs, and iterate until real problems are solved.
Use Data to Improve UX:
Leverage qualitative insights and product analytics to understand engagement and refine experiences.
Move Fast with AI:
Use AI tools to accelerate exploration and execution so more time is spent on thinking, not just pushing pixels.

What We’re Looking For

Qualification:

Bachelor's / Master's degree in design, HCI or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

3+ years in Product / UX Design with exposure to complex workflows, dashboards, or data-heavy tools.
B2B SaaS Strength:
Proven ability to make dense, high-frequency workflows feel seamless and efficient for power users.
Figma Expertise:
Deep understanding of Auto-layout, Variables, Components, and scalable design systems.
Strong UX Foundations:
Clear grasp of usability principles, user psychology, and modern product design patterns.
Communication

Skills:

Ability to clearly explain design decisions and trade-offs to engineers, PMs, and stakeholders.
Organization & Craft:
Clean files, structured systems, attention to detail, and respect for pixel-perfect execution.
Research Mindset:
Comfort conducting interviews, synthesizing insights, and backing decisions with reasoning and evidence.
Bonus Points

Experience with spatial tools, GIS, maps, or polygon-based interfaces
Familiarity with front-end constraints (HTML/CSS) for design QA
Experience using usability testing or feedback tools (e.g., Useberry, Hotjar, Mixpanel)

Who Thrives at Site Recon
Ambitious, driven, and self-initiated
Comfortable with ownership and accountability
Open to feedback and continuous improvement
Respectful, collaborative, and low-ego
Fun to work with — serious when it matters
