Financial Administrator – Dutch speaking
Beccles / Hybrid
£28,000 – £30,000
Job DescriptionThe Financial Administrator is responsible for a wide range of financial administration activities and the preparation of financial reports across the group of companies. The role requires strong communication skills in both Dutch and English and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic business and finance environment.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the accurate processing of all financial transactions within the bookkeeping system.
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable administration.
- Preparation of Accounts Receivable reports, including outstanding balances, risk assessment, actions taken, and follow-up, including bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all purchase invoices across the group.
- Responsible for all bank accounts, including timely processing of bank transactions and reporting on bank positions.
- Weekly preparation of batch payments to suppliers.
- Support management accounting and reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, KPIs, and ad hoc analyses.
- Support cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition processes.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including profit and cash flow analysis.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of company compliance and authorization processes.
- Take initiative in implementing and improving financial processes.
- Support the preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Responsible for personnel expense declarations, including verification, approval, and bank payments.
- Support and liaise with Group Payroll.
- Proactively identify and highlight significant financial risks.
- Perform other ad hoc activities and projects as required.
- Ensure accurate and complete electronic filing of financial documentation.
- 3-5 years of experience in a financial administration role
- Solid knowledge of Dutch accounting rules and legislation
- Understanding of financial processes related to administration and financial analysis
- Proactive, pragmatic, and advisory mindset with the ability to take initiative
- Strong sense of responsibility for maintaining an optimal bookkeeping environment
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Strong communication skills, including working with colleagues at remote locations
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret general ledger outputs, trial balances, and financial reports
- Affinity for report preparation and contribution to more complex reporting activities
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritize under pressure
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Operates with the highest level of integrity
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Intermediate Excel skills, with the ability to manage data efficiently and accurately
