Process Technician - Milling & Turning
Are you a CNC Process Technician with strong milling and turning experience, looking to step into a technically challenging role within a global, multi-billion-dollar engineering group?

This role is based at their Lincoln manufacturing site and plays a key part in ensuring CNC milling and turning processes are safe, stable, efficient and capable of producing consistently high‑quality components.
The RoleAs Process Technician - Milling & Turning, you will support and optimise CNC machining processes, working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to drive performance, reduce waste and ensure repeatable manufacturing standards.
Your Responsibilities Will Include- Developing, implementing and maintaining robust CNC milling and turning processes
- Providing technical support to production teams, supervisors and team leaders
- Optimising cutting parameters, tooling, fixturing and machining methods
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI), trials, validation and process sign‑off
- Creating and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, control plans and process documentation
- Supporting first‑off approvals, capability studies and ongoing process monitoring
- Investigating non‑conformances and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Driving continuous improvement in cycle time, scrap, quality and productivity
- Ensuring all machining activities comply with quality, safety and customer standards
- Assisting with operator training and best‑practice machining methods
- Proven experience in CNC milling and turning within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, cutting data and materials
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- A structured, analytical approach to problem‑solving
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally
- A quality‑focused, safety‑driven mindset
- An organised, proactive and improvement‑driven approach
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering Manufacture or similar
- Experience with Lean, Kaizen, SPC or capability studies
- Background in new product introduction (NPI)
