The Role
We are seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Team Member to support our growth and help expand our client base, with a focus on the construction sector. You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and helping us reach more companies and individuals who can benefit from our training services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and related sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Support marketing initiatives, including social media outreach (Linked In, Facebook)
- Assist in developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Track competitor activity and market trends to inform business strategy
- Collaborate with the training and operations teams to ensure client needs are met
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities as needed
- Support the operations manager with their workload
About You
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably in training, education, or construction)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using digital tools and social media for outreach
- Knowledge of the Scottish construction sector is an advantage
