KCR Solutions are working with an established firm on Accountants based in North Shields who are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper to handle a range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and record day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions with general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Maintain and update accounting records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external accountants or auditors as needed.
- Preparing VAT returns from information supplied
- Assist with other ad-hoc accounting tasks as required.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant within a practice environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
