The Role:
We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our Manpower team and play a key role in supporting operations within the dynamic wind energy sector. In this role, you will lead complex projects from inception through to successful delivery, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

This role requires a proactive Project Manager with outstanding organisational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will be based within a commutable distance of our North Shields (UK) office and willing to travel as required.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Manpower projects within the wind service domain, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and project team members.
  • Aim to achieve a structured work distribution and a competitive work organisation in a healthy and motivating work environment.
  • Put the customer first and, to the best of your ability, meet their expectations.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and client services, to ensure project success.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Ensure availability and effective allocation of resources.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using suitable systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Carry out risk management to minimise project risks.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and performance metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Essential Requirements and Competencies
  • Proven leadership and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong, positive working relationships
  • A proactive attitude and strong commitment to work, supported by a solid technical background in project management or a related field; an advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Experience in tendering processes, including sales calculations and cost estimations
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget planning, implementation, and cost control
  • Comfortable with last-minute changes and able to adapt quickly under pressure
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong proficiency in project management software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Willingness and availability to travel to project sites as required
  • Open to working on weekends when urgent project needs arise
