Shift Maintenance Manager – North East England

Alexander Steele is proud to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business, in the North East of England, as they look to appoint a Shift Maintenance Manager to join their team. This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a role with a well-established manufacturer that continues to grow year on year.

On Offer

* Working 4 on 4 off (days only)

* Annual salary of £61,000

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, support and motivate a team of 10 engineers to deliver effective maintenance and engineering solutions.

* Oversee both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.

* Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.

* Work collaboratively with production, quality, and H&S teams to meet site objectives.

* Support the development and training of engineering staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

* Ensure compliance with all regulatory, company, and health & safety requirements.

The Candidate:

* Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

* Previous supervisory or team leader experience would be highly desirable.

* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach.

* Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
