Integrated Surgery Outpatients are looking for a friendly and efficient team member to bethe front line of welcoming our patients across the Service.
This post is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route (formerly Tier
2) or Health and Care Worker visa. Therefore, only candidates who can demonstrate their right to work in the UK without sponsorship will be considered
This is a busy and varied role and you will need to be organised and efficient to support the running of our outpatient clinics. You should be empathetic and understanding of our patients at all times, this will be between the hours of 07.30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday.
You will be dealing with patients on a daily basis, either face to face or via telephone. You will also be assisting with supporting the administrative and clinical teams with preparing notes, inputting data and booking appointments.
Experience of working within a reception or customer-facing role is preferred, but not essential.

Provide an efficient reception service to patients, relatives, carers, and all staff groups. Provide a comprehensive administration support service to the Clinical Team to enable them to carry out their duties in an effective and efficient manner and ensure efficiency in patient care
Greet patients who attend the Outpatient department, ensuring all relevant information is up-to-date and correct
Answer all telephone queries and escalate to appropriate staff, where necessary
Provide general administrative service on Reception and as required by the department, ensuring all paperwork is completed and inputted into the correct systems
Preparation of clinic note packs, adhering to current processes
Use the relevant Trust databases and patient administration systems and ensure that all data is up to date
Liaise with other areas of the Trust, as well as other Service Providers and GPs, etc.
Photocopying, posting documentation and general office duties
Prioritise own workload, working independently within the Service needs
Ensure confidentiality is maintained in all communications and that documents are other sensitive information are secure at all times

- Educated to NVQ level 2 or equivalent level of education, training or experience
