Vehicle Technician

Location:

Northampton

Salary: £28,700 - £34,500 basic, bonus is uncapped worth around £5,000 on average with some techs earning in excess of £10,000.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 40 hours (can be worked with a degree of flexibility) with no weekend work.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join our client’s workshop based in Northampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will have Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance but this is not essential
  • Candidates must have Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance for consideration
  • Applicants must have a full UK driving licence
