Labourer

What you’ll be doing ?

Within the construction environment, you will coordinate the buying of materials, manage projects, ensure health and safety, and deliver customer service across roughly 400 developments across the UK. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will complete all labouring tasks to the highest standard and within required timescales.

  • Carry out all works on site as instructed by the Site Manager and in line with BDW Standards and procedures.
  • Inspect all on‑site signage and ensure signs are clean and in good repair.
  • Take personal responsibility for health and safety on site and report any breaches.
  • Ensure protection of fixed material is carried out in line with BDW procedures.
  • Maintain protection of fixed material, notifying the Site Manager of any removal or abuse.
  • Maintain compound and welfare facilities.
  • Keep all plots under construction tidy and remove surplus materials.
  • Ensure waste is segregated and recycled following BDW group guidelines.
  • Check show home gardens and public open spaces weekly, removing any rubbish.
What you’ll need
  • Enthusiastic self‑starter able to use initiative while working unsupervised.
  • Experience working on large‑volume domestic house‑building sites.
  • Health and safety awareness.
  • Current CSCS or partner scheme card.
